MBA

KCC Institute in Management (KCCIM) offers Masters in Business Administration Programme. This is two year 4 semesters full time degree course, duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India and affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) Lucknow.

The MBA programme is an integrated course, which aims to impart academic excellence, holistic education, global relevance and contemporaneous curriculum to the budding managers.

The main thrust of the department is to demonstrate a critical, ethical and reflective approach to the field of management. The emphasis is to expose the students to scenarios that demand structuring of unstructured problems and in turn help them in analytical and decision making skills to equip them to lead complex organizations, in a cross-continental environment.

The structure of the course is designed in a way that students have to study the core courses from different functional areas of management that are compulsory. Later on, specializations are offered in functional areas where the students can opt for two specializations out of the five offered. Marketing, Finance, IT, HR and International Business and one Open Specialization.

Right from the beginning of the course, the focus is on providing relevant inputs through case discussion/ analysis,simulation games,role plays etc. keeping in mind the current business scenario.

Broadly, the course is of two years, divided into four semesters, each semester having eight compulsory papers of 40 sessions each of one-hour duration. There is a system of dual specialization and an open specialization. The students will have to opt for two functional areas for their specialization, having four papers (two in third semester and two in the fourth semester) from specialization 1, three papers (two in third semester and one in fourth semester) from specialization 2, Students will also have to choose any one elective from the given four subjects as an open specialization in fourth semester.

Summer Training for 6/8 weeks is compulsory for every student pursuing the course, which they have to undergo between second and third semester. Comprehensive viva and Research project are part of the course.

The paper focuses on familiarizing the students with the evolution of management, management concepts, introduction to functions of management and its various processes.

MANAGERIAL ECONOMICS

The objective of this subject is to acquaint the student with the nature and scope of management economics, demand, supply and its determinants, pricing, market structure and national income.

ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL ANALYSIS

The subject equips the students with the accounting concepts, conventions and principles, accounting equation, international accounting principles and standards, mechanics of accounting analysis of financial statement and analysis of financial statement and understanding of funds flow statement.

ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR

The objective of the subject is to make the students familiar with behavioral management and challenges in context of a service organization, behavioral applications of perception, cognitive framework, behaviouristic framework and social cognitive framework, motivation and its theories organizational power and politics, conflict and stress management, analysis of interpersonal relationship and group dynamics.

The subject gives an understanding of uses, scope and applications of operation research in managerial decision-making, linear programming transportation problem sequencing problem and project management.

PRODUCTION & OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

Eligibility

Prospective candidates must possess a Graduate Degree in any stream from a recognized University with minimum 50% (45% incase of candidates belonging to reserved category) marks. Those appearing in the qualifying examination or awaiting results may apply provisionally, the admission being subject to passing the qualifying examination.

Admission is based on UPSEE-2016 conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University. If the seats remain vacant, direct admission is also considered subject to the guidelines of the University.

15% of the total intake falls under Management Quota. The admission under this is as per the norms laid out by UPTU.
